Psychosemiotic approach: Actual Use*

A shift from Ideal Language approach (what 'prayer' ought rightly to be used to communicate) to Functional sign-use (S*) approach: what "prayer", as actually used, communicates. This systemic shift in analytical approach to discourse in general has momentous consequences. For one, it intercepts and intervenes in all intellectual inquiry that begins what the "What is the meaning of X?" question -- as if "meaning" (or ..shudder.. "semiotics") were something to-be-divinely-designed by accurately formulated definitions of "it", the word in question.

The era of Meaning analysis of discourse, already Squared out (without completing) The Meaning of Meaning as a text book in the 1930's, was formally completed in Ideal Language philosophy by G. Berman's Metaphysics of Logical Positivism, 1950. Bergman showed how the concept of a "content of consciousness", with intentionality of awareness, could be constructed within the syntax of deductive discourse, that is, in a unified Ideal Language of Science. This gave "arareness" ontological credibility, whereas the very concept of an "act of awareness" had previously not been accorded even the dignity of coherent logical recognition.

However, this completed only the textual side of the metaphysical program to encompass reality through reason. It forever called attention to and objectified the forms of necessity in rational discourse, the S* through which the species is required to relate to reality as to each other. The lingering age-old continuing problem of "dualism" as it now must be faced, is this: the contingent, a-logical causal factors shaping sign-use open up an entire DIMENSION OF SUB-TEXT IN THE COMMUNICATING TOKENS. This is the most amazinly stupendous thing of all. From the subtexts derived from ancient tokens can be extracted data of its ancient objective (pre-scientific) foundations. Like a Dsn Brown psychohistorical plot played out.

The impulse to pray is a manifestation of The Religious in Sign-use -
S* level 5 (ego present), section .7 Thus comprehended by Square 15 in the 49 Square of Squares (+1 = 50): S*5.7. This is a particular type of content of consciousness, independent of positionality; a region of experience with its own grammar, commanding its own feeling state to use, in relating to reality.



What "prayer" (the word) communicates, not what "it* means".

- "Prayer" is actually used for a voluntarily induced state of consciousness, consisting of return (flashback) to (cathectic re-looping through) fetal origins of experience (as neuro-psychic feed-back arousal). These three actualizations with expressive sound added to (pre-) thought => (psycho-physiological de-re-construction of 'prayer' = > three-note chord prelude to Moments of Completing Totality. Experiential confirmation of this is supplied by a man who, despite suffering a bullet-hole through his brain and incapable of any perceptual cognitive response, nevertheless retained the capacity to move jaw-throat - larynx neural muscalature to ululate acquired words of songs; curse; pray: expressing emotions by sound retained by amygdalan-Werneike's area memory connections (cf, 'crying for help', moaning in sorrow; the abandoned child). It is through cathecting and Reverse mix-matching the Soul Tokens that psychosis consumes consciousness. This is why this loop is metaphysically required to complete the totality. "Are you my Mother?"

-> Cognitive/philosophical orientation: a. token taken as name, as if there were 'one thing' "prayer" communicates (<= an ego-presumption, leading to a "definition" imposing textual mastery over the transtextual state) is a metaphysical assumption sustained by grammar. ("Definitions" = Adam's trick; Eve knows better.) b. propositional attitude of FAITH: that THE GOOD, by human reckoning, is THE REAL (Plato: stands above, or completes); and, therefore, belief in the reality c. toward => (by the intentionality of consciousness) (-add text: God -> YHWH, ZEUS, (TRINITY <= by Grace through Faith, "and that not of ourselves lest any man should boast"), ALLAH. The Christian position of consciousness contrasts with these at just the points required by second birth renewal (emptying, remorse, renunciation, penance).

For many, prayer would be existentially defined through FAITH in one of these "God"-tokens, taken as name. This was nowhere more historically embedded and sealed in America's Repressed Unconscious Womb-Surround than by the anthrax poison letters following 9/11, but with "9/11' printed, with prayer to ALLAH. Evocation of the Name, revealed through His Prophet Mohammed, This planted the NZ black flag in X-Squared of its reproductive process. The "enemy" => poisonous placenta => of both Nazi -Zionist ideologies, linked forever in mortal combat => is that which is outside their Box. => (Muslims -> Al Qaida -> Bin Laden -> <- 9/11.

That is the memory-process loop overlaid now onto the NZ overlay by this false mix-mismatch soul-token capture. To pray publically in today's psychic audience atmosphere is to jubilate with the Pharisees.

And this, I tnink, is why Pauline Chriatianity ends with: " "these three.. but the greatest of these is love." Without that, the other two can be led astray by snake brain talkers jivin' Cheezus. The Holy (land) becomes the soil for depravity.
