The 6th Sense

The human skull brain, capped by the cerebellum, processes (into S*) stimuli reaching it from two sources of body stimulation, exterior (peripheral sense organs) and interior (nerve discharges terminating in organs and areas inside the body). On the hypothesis followed here, Sixth Sense content ‘totalizes’ content of perceptual consciousness, bringing it under a unity of its own, “my experience now”. These moments of present self-experience have their own history of developing linkages, finally ‘coating’ the I-position returned to in dream-thought regression. This coated I-position is the ‘eye’-center of consciousness latent in the (Birth->unto cosmos –> unto death) sequence built into a completed life trajectory is the “agenda” manifest in the process of the totality becoming a unity. This coated-agenda may also be depicted as center (‘Yesod’) of an imaginary spiral of expanding energy, circling as a wavefront through events related to this individuation.

It follows from this hypothesis that major aspects attributed to “soul” by users in philosophy and religion can be metaphysically reconstructed as ‘coating’ and learning to use the Sixth Sense. These include: non-identity of conscious unity and qualitative content, as if ‘higher forms’ were imposed on the phenomenal qualities ‘from within’, i.e., ‘on the token side’. The Sixth Sense adds “Situational Frames” to externally originating phenomenal forms, from the running notion of ‘myself’ as a continuing potential unity, synthesized through active token memory.
