The following is a way of mapping hypothetical lines linking signs related by meanings, onto the space provided by the flat surface -- scroll, page or tablet -- on which tokens of the signs are printed (or otherwise displayed). This amounts to 'geometricizing' the contents of consciousness given separately and independently through the signs-in-use as text x token. It is a NEW ANALYTICAL SCHEMA for bringing disparate regions of experience togethewr into a lawfully ordered whole..

If the + and x are overlaid, as in an eight-pointed asterisk, a psychic field is projected in TokenSpace through which 'lines of tension' can be traced. The actual behavior of the groups and individuals at the vertices of the asterisk (represted here by the six-pointed "*" due to lack of

The following splits have occurred in these designated groups, along the lines of liberal/conservative politics, Israel and support for the Iraq war.

1. The Lieberman - Clinton connection (From The Huffington Post, David Sarota) Excellent comparison of Joe Lieberman's MO as break-away Democrat in his Senate win in Connecticut, leading anti-war independents over to his side as if he were against it; and Hillary Clinton's Ohio pitch to anti-NAFTA unions, that she supported their cause, after unwaveringly voting the opposite. In other words, saying one thing and doing another.

The tendency is to dismiss this as common political tactics, the way the game is played. However, this glosses over the singularity of this particular historical congruence, which is most important to us, now; and ignores the content. These are two of the most important issues on the presidential docket. The anti-NAFTA and anti-war contingents share a potential affinity that would emerge in a politics of (roughly) beating the swords into plowshares. The Clinton -Lieberman line on the cube splits up the constituencies, blocking the democratic current.

But there are other inner connections -- through Israel. Hillary is reported by Haaretz to be the choice of scholars and non-Likkud moderates. Lieberman was instrumental in getting McCain pushed ahead of Giuliani in Florida, which removed one main rival in the North East region. Thus, when Hillary makes overtures to Lieberman, to woo his 'independent' supporters in Connecticut and elsewhere (read: the Jewish community), she is 'triangulating' solidarity with McCain as hawkish on war for Israel.

2. The Hillary - McCain connection

Recent PR has positioned HRC as McCain's Running mate! (Tim Russert's group=psychotic insight.) As if she was more aligned with him than with her Democratic opponent, Obama.

Here is where lack of a strong Protestant presence, as such, collapses the system. It's like one of the cylinders on an old J I Case tractor isn't firing. She is, after all, but one woman, trying to do a man's job (w/o much help in that department).

The deep connection between them is through the '60's recalled as Child Sacrifice vs. Killer Mommy.

He was in prison during the riotous '67-'73 Vietnam war years. She was a Goldwater Republican at the outset and did not protest the war. That meant a lot. However she experienced the highs and lows of the era, radicals (such as myself) who opposed it as anti-American would be considered "extremists" now, and she would align with that. At the symbolic level, her position aligns with those who would have imprisoned McCain. This is the Killer Mommy Archetype, already identified by Lloyd deMause as America's next group-fantasy dominant, 'played' to the hilt on CNN by Nancy Grace (with Glenn beck as Dad). McCain, as repeatedly visualized in his "I approve this message" commercials, is the Resurrected Son, spiritually sustained by Ronald Reagan, he recalls. Never mind that the Gipper had yet to distinguish himself for little more than marching on San Francisco State College to shut down the orgies in its orgone-box dorm rooms. I wonder if he heard of that? Whether or no, it is part of what is brought back to the pre-conscious -- cathected by allusions and visuals -- whenever "John McCain, the man" appears. He is a token of the young men and women who died in Vietnam. She is a token of the Mother who would send them there. Also associated in group fantasy with Lorena Bobbit.

3. McCain - Lieberman

McCain shoved Mitt Romney aside in New Hampshire, with the help of "independents", it is said. Then he shoved Giuliani out in Florida, this time with Joe Lieberman's specific and vigorous help. This would be with those 'independent' of the Republican apparatus, presumably Jewish voters linked to New York City. Somehow the fix got put in, possibly with the NH 'independent's' that linked Yankeeland, Dade County, and (again) Hillary Clinton (successor to Moynahan's feifdom, coinciding with the Alfonse D'Amato era downstate. Lieberman links to a broader band of 'theocons' than the Giuliani family, and, besides, somebody on the Swift Boat crew owed him, big time, for the shafting he took in 2000 from veterans organizations in S. Carolina who had been coopted by Bush supporters. "Wait your turn," he must have been told. "2008".

4. Catholics split on McCain

Some religious Catholic sentiment from the right strongly rejects McCain for not repudiating the endorsement of Protestant evangelical John Hagee. This further splits right wing Republican Catholics from the left-liberal Cuomo - anti-Vietnam war activist strains.

5. Protestants split on Hillary

Similarly, some religious Protestant sentiment from the left strongly rejects Hillary Clinton for not repudiating the war, Republicanism (cf 'triangulation'), other things.
So, her failure to be fully, as a person, what she is cast to represent, as an archetype, takes away a subtle, but profound ingredient in the flow of process making America what it was and is.

6. McCain --- ---- Obama: The oddest, sharpest and most unlikely contrasting opposites of all

It is hillariously anomalous. The Resurrected War Hero vs. a tall skinny black guy in drag, with "Hussein" as middle name?

.... mmm.... All I can think to say is NIMBY

Funny, no one has suggsted Obama as McCain's veep yet have they? Merger fantasies only go so far.
